He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Caster, in 2001; a son, Robert Caster, in 2019; and his parents, Julius and Elizabeth Caster. He is survived by his children: sons Brian Caster, Bradley Pence, and Anthony Caster, and a daughter, Barbara Caster and her boyfriend Brian Rose. He is also survived by a sister, Louise Slowikowski, and a brother, William Caster, as well as thirteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and numerous dear friends and acquaintances.
Robert was a veteran of the US Air Force, serving 18 years as an aircraft maintenance technician. He also worked as a landscaper and as a custodian at the Fairborn Kroger, having retired after 12 years. He was an avid fan of the Cincinnati Bengals and Ohio State Buckeyes. Robert was the kind of person that never met a stranger.
Interment of cremains will be held at Dayton National Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Robert’s memory to the American Heart Association.
