STROMBERG, MARIE GEORGINA, age 90, passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at her home with her family by her side. She was born on January 29, 1932 in Canterbury, England to the late George and Ada Wood. In 1952, she married Fredrick W. Stromberg. He passed away on January 10, 1999. Marie was an accomplished Seamstress for over 65 years, and a Quilter for over 50 years. She taught sewing at the Greene County Career Center and at a Junior College in Florida. She belonged to an English Ladies Club, called ENGLISH ACCENTS.
Marie is survived by her Children, Martin Stromberg, Nancy (Harry) Bussey, Marie Gay, and Paul (Tonya) Stromberg, her Grandchildren, Bryan (Nicole) Gay, John (Hannah) Purdin, Emily Gay, and Brenda Purdin, her Great Grandchildren, Sophia, Clara, and Alice, nephew David (Jenny) Benge, and niece Brenda (Paul) Latham.
There will be a private graveside service at Byron Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
