Lucy Adkins

ADKINS, Lucy, 88 of Fairborn, peacefully passed into the Lord’s embrace with her family by her side on Saturday, July 29, 2017. She was born in Redwine, KY in 1929. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Susan Adkins; her husband of 43 years, Luster Adkins; and two of her sons, Danny Adkins and Kenny Adkins. Lucy is survived by her daughters, Kathy (Larry) Swim of Wallingford, KY, Ruth (Mike) Walz of Bradford, OH, and Pam (John) Fry of Fairborn; and her son, Gary (Judy) Adkins of Fairborn. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Lucy’s ultimate joy was serving the Lord and reading her Bible. Among her other favorite things were her family, jewelry, flowers, birds, coin collecting, word search puzzles, and cooking down home southern food. She leaves us rich in memories and will always be remembered for her strong faith and love for God. Family and friends will gather at Burcham Tobias Funeral Home, 119 E. Main St., Fairborn, OH 45324 on Wednesday, August 2 for visitation from 5-7 PM. A funeral service will be held at the same location on Thursday, August 3 at 11 AM.
