Sharp, Larry Clay age 63 of Fairborn passed away early Sunday morning, March 4, 2018 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born on May 14, 1954 in Xenia, Ohio to the late Earl and Patricia Sharp (nee Hager). Also preceded in death by his brother Roger Dale Sharp and sister in law Debbie Sharp. Larry is survived by his children: Patricia Sharp, Earl Sharp, Kimberly Ridenbaugh (Shannon), Danita Sharp, and Adam Sharp; grandchildren: Sara Riddle, Clayton Ridenbaugh, Tucker Ridenbaugh, Whitney Ridenbaugh, and Tommy Ridenbaugh (Chynna); great grandchild Gwen Ridenbaugh; siblings: Michael Sharp (wife Debbie, deceased), Thomas Sharp, Rebecca Smith (Curt), and Lynn Davis. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and well as great nieces and nephews.
Larry graduated from Tecumseh High School in 1972. He took part in many organizations throughout his life in which he served God, his country, his community, and his family in many ways: he served in the US Air Force as an Airman 1st Class, was Chaplin of the AmVets Post 148 for 5 years and also took part in the Color Guard for that same Post for 7 years. He sang and played guitar and bass in Church; he is currently a member of the Church of God of West Enon and has been a member there for over 12 years. Through his church he is a mentor with the Kid's Hope USA organization. He served as coach or assistant coach of multiple sports teams of his children over the years. Larry retired as a truck driver after 45 years.
The Visitation will be held from 5-8 PM on Wednesday, March 7th, 2018 at Burcham Tobias Funeral Home, 119 East Main Street, Fairborn. The Funeral Service will be at 11 AM, Thursday, March 8th at the funeral home with Pastor Dan Fiorini officiating. Burial will follow in Valley View Memorial Gardens in Xenia.
