James Edward Sammons, age 68, of Fairborn, died on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Lakeside Manor, Dayton VA. He was born the son of Clyde & Lena (Erwin) Sammons on December 17, 1946 in Dayton, Ohio. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Bob and Carl Sammons, and a sister Phyllis Kiser. Jim is survived by his daughters Denise Ann & Doug Davis and Melissa & Chad Long, son Larry & Bonnie Oliver, fiancé Delores (Dee) Duvall sister Jean Brock, brother Ora Sammons, grandchildren Kayla Leaman, Chadwick, Jacob, and Kobe Long, Hanna, Sam, Jenna, and Will Oliver and several nieces and nephews. Jim was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Vietnam War. He will be missed by all who love him. Friends may call at the Burcham Jennings Funeral home on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 from 11:00AM to Noon where services will be held at Noon.
