James John Marek Jr.

James J. Marek, Jr. of Fairborn, Ohio passed away December 14th, 2014 at Patriot Ridge Community. He was born March 3rd, 1936 in Cleveland Ohio to the late Dr. James J. and Anna Marek. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister Norma Hall, a grandson Bradley Minton and a granddaughter Lori Harris.

James attended and graduated from Ohio University and Wright State University and was an employee of WPAFB for 42 years. James was a faithful member of the Berean Baptist Temple in Fairborn.

James was a Mason and belonged to Lodge #764 in Fairborn Ohio as well as Wright Eastern Star.

James is survived by the love of his life, Norma A. Harris (Marek) and 3 step-children and their families.

Tom and Denise Harris of Fairborn, Gene and Jan Harris of Huber Heights, and Patricia and Terry Minton of Fairborn. 6 grandchildren, Jason (Tiffany) Harris of Grove City, Jenna and Jon Harris of Huber Heights, Jared (Amanda) Minton and Joel Minton of Fairborn and Darren (Della) Mohr of Fairborn. 5 great-grandchildren, Cole and Carter Minton, Sofia Mohr, Camryn and Addison Harris as well as several nieces and their spouses.

Friends may call at the Burcham Jennings Funeral Home 119 E Main St. Fairborn, Ohio 45324 on Wednesday December 17, 2014 from 5PM-7PM. A Masonic service will be held at 6:45PM on the night of the visitation. Funeral service will be held on Thursday December 18, 2014 at 10AM with Pastor Lonnie Bocook officiating.
