Frank Wayne Colwell, 78, of Bradenton, Florida passed away on April 8, 2022. He was born on March 26, 1944 to Mayanna (Firman) Jones and Leland Colwell in Delaware, OH. Frank is a veteran of foreign war, having served in the Navy from 1963 to 1967, stationed in Hawaii then Vietnam. After the Navy, Frank worked as a farmhand in Ohio, then moved to Florida in 1983. In Florida, Frank worked as, and retired as an auto-mechanic.
Frank had many hobbies, including fishing, building bird-houses, antiques, and playing pinochle. He loved talking walks, and visiting family throughout the US. He loved dogs, especially his Schnauzer “Lizzie,” and his Japanese Chin “Sage.”
Frank was predeceased by his wife of 47 years, Dianna (Sellman) Colwell; his parents; and his brothers, Michael, David, and Kendall Colwell. He is survived by his son Todd Colwell, daughter Shelly (Jason) Baumgartner, sisters-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews.
