
Elmer Howard Lewis, age 85 of Fairborn passed away Monday September 13, 2010. Elmer was born May 26, 1925 in Elliott County, Kentucky the son of Thurmon and Rose (Eldridge) Lewis. Elmer retired from the Portland Cement Company. He was a former minister for the Pentecostal Church of Gods, for the Roar Blvd Church, he served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a decorated veteran. He is survived by 3 sons and daughters in law, Buck and Mary Lewis, Rick and Linda Lewis and Jerry and Lisa Lewis, a daughter and son in law, Carol and Dale Impson, a sister, Jean Sandy, a brother, Bob Lewis, 6 grandchildren, a great grandson, Logan Lewis, many nieces and nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife of 52 years, Flora Lewis, grandson, Dean Lewis, 2 sisters, Margie and Mary and 2 brothers, Everett and Elzie. Friends may call in the Burcham Funeral Home, 119 East Main Street, Fairborn, Ohio Friday September 17, 2010 from 1 -2 P.M. where services will be held at 2 P.M. Burial will be in Byron Cemetery.
