William Arthur Leach

William Arthur Leach passed unexpectedly in his Sacramento, CA home Monday August 21, 2017. Born August 22, 1938 to Fred and Anna Mae Leach in Charleston, West Virginia, he was raised in Louisville, KY where he met and married his Central High School sweetheart Peggy Yvonne Thornton. Their union produced three daughters; Carolyn Diane Steele, Cezreada Eugene Neal, and Karen Annette Leach-Nuehring.

William joined the United States Air Force after high school graduation and retired a Tech Sergeant. He then worked for the United States Postal Services where he retired a Letter Carrier in Davis, CA . In his retirement he was still very active with the NALC union and an usher at Grace Missionary Baptist Church where he had been a member since 1979.

William is survived by his three daughters, grandchildren; Tamala DaVigo, Larry “Tony” Martin, Christopher Martin, William Leach, Michael Calvin, Cherilyn Martin, Jesse “LJ” Neal, Carleigh Rose Steele, Tiffany Boyce, Xavier Whitfield, Joshua Whitfield, and 18 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Peggy Leach and his brother Fred Gerald Leach.
