Born July 21, 1926 in San Jose, CA – Died June 28, 2016 in Fair Oaks, CA at 89 years of age
He attended Piedmont High School and earned an Eagle Scout badge at that time. He enlisted in the US Navy at 16 years of age in 1942. Warren received a Purple Heart for his service in the battle of Iwo Jima. Warren was one of one hundred and seventy one sailors who volunteered to go ashore at Hiroshima after the atomic bomb was dropped. He was honorably discharged in 1949. He enrolled in UC Berkeley, where is earned a degrees in Geology and Paleontology. After graduation he married Diana Allison Green. They had six children in eight years. Warren went to work for the United States Atomic Energy Commission and later at Phillips Petroleum as a Geologist. He returned to college and earned a teaching degree at Sacramento State and later a Master’s Degree in Education at the University of San Francisco. He taught science and math at Andrew Carnegie Jr. High and had his 8th grade science class build a telescope. Concurrently he taught a ‘’PREPARATION FOR CIVIL SERVICE EXAMS” class in adult education in the evenings. There was no textbook for the class, so he wrote one. He self-published his book, and ending up selling this book and teaching PREPARATION FOR CIVIL SERVICE EXAMS classes all over the United States and selling his book. After retiring at 65 years of age, he worked as a substitute teacher all over Northern California until he was 85 years old. Warren is survived by his wife Diana, his sister June, his six children, Victoria, Eric, Matthew, Stephen, Gene and Theodore plus his eleven grandchildren, April, Jessica, Claire, Alexis, Lauren, Katelin, Morgan, Madison, Nick and Gabriela Grace. A Rosary will be prayed for Warren on July 21st at 7:00PM at St. Mel Catholic Church, 4748 Pennsylvania Avenue, Fair Oaks, CA and Funeral will be on July 22nd at 10:00AM at St Mel Catholic Church, 4748 Pennsylvania Avenue, Fair Oaks, CA.
