Dad,  
Since you passed away two years ago, we have had no communication with Carol whatsoever. She is completely written off, and we are at peace with that.  

However, there is something that surfaced recently—your old wallet, the one you carried around forever. We came to realize that it held photos of us, ones that meant so much to you. Unfortunately, she spitefully gave the wallet to someone else, but in an unexpected turn, those very photos were shown to me.  

Seeing them gave me a new perspective on just how deeply you truly loved us. It was a moment of clarity, a sign that God works in mysterious ways, revealing things we had never seen before. I hold that close to my heart, knowing without a doubt that your love for us was always strong and unwavering.  

As for Carol, she remains the black widow that she is. I am sorry you had to endure that.

So very sorry for Ed's passing. We've trucked with one another since 1976, after he left 'Eager Beaver' trucking in L.A.,  for Viking Freight. I truly admired and respected Ed, and had lots of fun getting together  on off duty times. We kept in contact after we retired,  and moved away some distance from one another, but kept in contact by mail. Heck, just recently we became 'facebook' friends!  I will miss him, dearly. Please accept my condolences.

I started at Viking in February 1978, with my goal to be a line driver. I accomplished that in June. There was a legendary line driver that I kept hearing about. He’d taken a horse in the grill at high-highway and made it through. There was a lot more to the story. But I’ll keep it short. We all know it. The one thing all drivers dreaded was a steering axle tire blowout at highway speed. But Ed had done that too, safely. I expected that if I ever met him, he’d have to be ten feet tall and as big as a house!!! Instead, I met a mild mannered, soft spoken gentleman. I wasn’t disappointed!! He was a good friend and example that many of us looked up to as a professional driver and as a man. My deepest sympathy and prayer for his family. But be proud!!

I used to go to his parents house as a kid, and remember his father walter my great grandfather had all kinds of fruit trees we planted in the back yard. Grandpa Ed was a handsome fellow, I enjoyed the memories of Christmases and opening presents and having Christmas dinner. I had also enjoyed going to his 81st birthday party where they had live country music , and it was a good time. 

Ed…you were my buddy!  In 3 years we became very close friends, we were suppose to be exercising but it always ended up in talking and laughing.  I taught you new things on your phone to do, so you could look busy like everybody else.  I took you to a lot of your doctor appointments and when you came out you couldn’t wait to go get “a bite to eat”.  You would know when it was getting to be the time I would have to leave, you would say “uh oh, it’s must be that time again”.  I felt like I knew you forever and I will always cherish the time we spent together, until we meet again my friend… love you, Dino!

Ed was a class act, I was lucky to share a truck with him at the West Sacramento Viking terminal, Ed worked early am shift and I came on just as he was getting off so we hot seated the same truck for about 5 years.  You could always expect the best from Ed he was as professional as they come.  RIP Ed & God Speed.

I don't want to say goodbye , I want to say  until we see each other  again.  Thank you for giving me that sign with "Bode  " Galaxy.
When I spoke to you in your ear the day you passed I told you to please give me a sign that you will be ok.
Ryan looked up Galaxy photos and you popped up with the 1st Galaxy for no reason.  I knew it was you :)
