Tom, Brian, and Leslie,

It was not until last night while waiting for my granddaughter to be born at Sutter Memorial, that I learned of Sue's death. Even at this late date my thoughts and prayers are with each of you as you cope with your saddness and loss in your own way. 

I didn't know Sue well, but our paths crossed a few times over the years whether at a parent/teacher conference, a Bella Vista HS sporting event, a brief hello and chat while shopping at Raley's, or in the hallway at Sutter Memorial during a visit there for my step-grandson's heart surgeries or treatments. She always had a smile to greet you and showed an interest in knowing how my children were doing through the years. It would have put a smile on her face to know that after tens years of trying to have a child, my son, Mike, and his wife had a baby girl early this morning at Sutter Memorial.

Sue was the best friend anyone could imagine having. She always thought of others before herself. She was the most caring, compassionate nurse and woman I have ever met. I will miss Sue and her beautiful smile. I worked with Sue at Sutter Memorial and enjoyed movies and lunches with her.  I will miss her dearly. Diane Pawloski

Thank you, Tom, for sharing the photos of Suzie and her family and friends.  I am now flooded with wonderful memories of the many hours Suzie and I spent together playing as children.  I can't remember a time when Suzie ever said a cross or critical word about anyone.  I read other comments in her guest book of how she was such a bright and positive force in other people's lives.  I want to say that she was always that way, even as a young child.  Suzie and I lost touch with one another as we grew older. I'm sure I've missed a lot in my own life because of that.  She was such a great person and I can tell from the photos that she fought her battle with cancer with courage, dignity and love of family. My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family. I would like to express my sorrow in hearing of Suzanne's passing. I work at Sutter and had the pleasure of running in to Suzanne periodically. Even though I did not work with her directly she had such a positive impact on me. I sensed and felt so much love and caring from her, a true genuine good and kind soul. If there was a bad day and I happened to see her, just being with her for a few moments would make me feel less stressed, and in her way remind me of what being a nurse really means. Tom, Brian, and Leslie, I was so very sorry to hear of Sue's passing.  I worked with Sue for many years at Sutter, she was a great lady and will be missed.  She had such composure and grace and truly loved being with her patients.  I too was just diagnosed with breast cancer so am just now starting my battle.  Sue's ability to fight will inspire me to keep going and try to be as strong as she was.

It's very rare that a person comes along with the grace, love and compassion that Sue had.   
Sue inspired me when I received the diagnose of Breast Cancer.  I knew if Sue could stay strong, so could I.
She was an incredible fighter, and she taught me so much.
It gives me comfort to know she is with our Lord and all our loved ones that have recently passed on.
May the Lord bring Peace and Comfort to you, Brian, Leslie and Florin, and may the memories of her help in the hard times.
She was a Blessing to us all and I will miss her greatly.
She will be in my prayers forever, along with you and your family.

Julia and I will never forget how caring and concerned Sue was about Julia's bouts with breast cancer-even as she fought her own battle with the disease.  So typical of your amazing wife and mother.  We are saddened to know she is no longer with us.  We will miss that smile at our WP gatherings.  But now, she is in a better place, no more suffering.  She is with her fellow angels. My Aunt Sue is to me, the greatest person in this world, one of a kind and one in a million.
She had the biggest heart with the most caring touch, which she shared with so many of us.
Her soul was made of pure love,
yet she's worth way more than fine gold.
In my eyes, she will always be,

To me she's one of the smartest woman I have had the honor to know,
