Shawn Arnie Hallum was born in Colfax, California to Shelia and Arnie Hallum. He was a Sacramento resident for over 30 years, graduating from Cordova High School in 1984 and eventually obtaining three associate degrees from Sacramento City College; Math and Science, Engineering, and Social Science, all with honors. Beloved by both family and friends for his warmth, humor, and fun loving attitude, his tragic death at age forty-nine, the same as his favorite football team, is all the more painful. A loving father, Shawn imparted his patience and his benevolent view of the world to his kids, in spite of having a testing youth that challenged Shawn numerous times. Never a quitter but not exactly a fighter either, Shawn was living proof of the love and humanity in the world. His presence will be missed, but his lessons and the joys he brought us, will never be forgotten. Shawn is survived by his parents, two sisters, one brother, his two children, and his ex-wives.
