Robert served in the United State Navy and received the medal for National Defense Service, the medal for Korean Service and the medal for United Nations Service. After his time in the Navy, Robert became a resident of Antioch, CA where he worked as an electrician for DuPont for 25 years. After he retired in 1982 he moved to Washington and became a realtor and also a county assessor in his 29 year residency there. He moved back to California in 2011 and settled in Oakley. Robert had many passions and hobbies that included, diving, fishing, camping, hunting, crossword puzzles and watching football. He thoroughly loved going to A’s baseball games with his grandchildren, GO A’s!! He was also an original member of the Delta Dolphin’s Dive club, but the most enjoyable of all was getting to spend time with his family.
Robert is preceded in death by his mother, Annie Garcia, his sister, Marian Stevens, and his grandson, Steven Paul Witt. He is survived by his children, Cynthia Ann Stafford, Robert Paul Witt (Lupe) and Danielle O’Connor and his grandchildren, Carly Witt, Casey Witt, Taylor Stafford and Collin Stafford.
A service will be held at Mount Vernon Memorial Park on November 4th, 2022 at 11 a.m. 8201 Greenback Lane, Fair Oaks, CA 95628.
