Bob was Born June 25, 1944 in Turlock ,CA and passed August 23, 2024 in Fair Oaks, CA. He graduated Turlock High in 1963 and tried college but decided to go into the Navy instead, he enlisted September 1964. He enjoyed the navy and sailed on the US Ranger to Hawaii, Australia, Vietnam, Japan, Seattle, and San Diego. He was honorably discharged September, 1968.
He worked at Balestra, Pontiac in Redwood City, CA, where he meet his wife of 50 years, Julie and adopted her son Aaron when they married in 1974. Then their son Ryan was born in 1976. Bob learned how to sell mobile home accessories with his dad at Duralum Awnings. Eventually his dad started his own business and Bob worked there. Later, his dad sold the business and it wasn’t long before it went under, it was then that Bob started his own business Affordable Awnings & Accessories, in 1988. He closed the business in 2010, due to the recession. Bob was very good at running the business and made lots of friends, he started working out in the Navy and made some really good friends at the Gyms here in Sacramento. He had some close friends from the Navy for over 50 years.
Bob loved riding his motorcycles. He had a Honda motorcycle in 1974 but sold it, he started riding again in 1995 and went through 4 Harley’s because he didn’t want to put too many miles on them for resale purposes.
Bob is preceded in death by his mother Georgene Presley 1991, son Aaron 1994, father Haig 2008, mother in law Jeanette Rodriguez, 2012, his brother Mike in 2013, and his stepmother Heidi 2023.
He is survived by his Wife Julie, son Ryan and wife Barbara and their children, Tyler, Logen, Dakota, Brody, and Auriela; His Father in law Julian Rodriguez; His Brother Ron and wife Debbie, and their children Jarad, Deanna, and Steven; His sister Margaret and husband Terry Manion and their son Christopher, and his family.
This big beautiful family brought him joy and love. Thank you God for this wonderful man.
