She met her shatzy Ellis, during the war in Germany. They gallivanted across the world and had many adventures. She attained her United States Citizenship in 1986. She and Ellis had 2 daughters.

Preceded in death, Ellis was laid to rest in 1989.
Renate was everything that was perfect and a little of the not perfect which made her even more perfect. She was a very giving lady, always looking out for her family and friends. She always had something for someone with never an ulterior motive for recognition or return.
She loved time spent with family and friends either just talking over a nice cup of coffee or going out to eat at her favorite places or experiencing new places. She had a favorite slot machine at Thunder Valley and enjoyed the café and time out while there.
Survived by her daughters Anita Mirgon, the favorite, Connie Marshall-Birdsong – no-actually her favorite and grandchildren James Mirgon, Christine Mirgon, Ray Marshall and Ginny Birdsong.
Renate passed from S.A.D.S. at 93 years young in great health. Services and interment will be held privately for the family in June and July.
In lieu of donations and flowers please just say a prayer and do something nice for someone without need for recognition.
