Regina Cleo Pease, 87, of Folsom, CA passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 13th, 2024, with her family by her side. Regina was a loving mother, wife, sister, daughter, sitte, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend to many.
Regina was born on July 15, 1936, in Indian Bayou, LA to Clifton and Fern Pryor. She was the younger sister of Melvin Reese Pryor, and the older sister of Vira Pryor Evans and Virginia Pryor Albanese.
Regina graduated Jennings High School in 1954 and completed Interior Design School in 1982.
In addition to her education, Regina had many interests. She was an avid reader and enjoyed playing the guitar and piano, singing, and writing songs. Regina was also a member of the Louisiana Songwriters Association. In 1985, Regina received attention for her songwriting skills, being featured in the Lake Charles American Press with her recording musician partner. Regina was also very spiritual and loved the whimsical fairytale world, with her favorite color being pink and her favorite animal being a bunny. She was also a skilled painter, and known by her friends and family for the intricate stenciling and imagery on the walls throughout her house. Of everything, interior decorating was Regina’s true passion, and her beautiful home was admired by everyone.
In 1954, Regina married Fred William McKee (deceased), and they became the parents of two daughters: Patricia Lynn McKee Smith (deceased) and Janet Kay McKee Bucknor.
In 1991, Regina married Eric Caswell Pease (deceased) and became the step-mother of two daughters: Kimberly Ellen Pease (deceased) and Wednesday Pease Payne.
Regina is survived by her daughter Janet Bucknor and her husband Harrison, their daughter Kaylyn Elizabeth, and children Chris, Courtney, and Diego, and granddog Bella of El Dorado Hills, CA; her grandson Kalil El-Khansa and his wife Kristie, and their children Kasen, Gabriel, and Chloe of Denham Springs, LA; Regina’s son-in-law Ali El-Khansa of Lake Charles, LA; Regina’s step-daughter Wednesday Pease Payne and her husband Ken, and their sons Joshua and James of Havelock, NC; her sister, Vira Evans and her husband Linzy of Amherst, VA; and various nieces and nephews.
Regina is predeceased by her husband Eric Caswell Pease, daughter Patricia McKee Smith, step-daughter Kimberly Ellen Pease, parents Clifton and Fern Pryor, brother Melvin Pryor and his wife Jeannine, sister Virginia Albanese and her husband Gilbert, niece Denise Evans Roddy, her ex-husband Fred William McKee, and her granddog Cassie Lynn.
Regina will be laid to rest alongside her husband Eric at Mount Vernon Memorial Park in Fair Oaks, CA. Donations may be made to Children International or Wounded Warrior Project in memory of Regina. The donation information is registered with the email: [email protected]
