Paul Ramirez, a devoted husband, father, grandfather and decorated war veteran, passed away on January 31, 2025 at the age of 95.
A lifelong patriot and longtime resident of San Jose and Sacramento, Paul proudly served his country with an illustrious 25 year career in the US ARMY.
His service included deployments in the Korean War and two tours in Vietnam, where he received commendations to include the illustrious Bronze Star Medal with the combat “V” device for heroism under enemy fire. He also holds the Army Commendation medal, Combat Infantryman’s Badge and six Good Conduct Medals. Following his military career, he remain committed to serving his community as a Quartermaster of the San Jose Post of the Veterans of Foreign Wars(VFW) post 3982
He was proceeded in death by his loving wife, Dolores Ramirez, on December 11, 2012. They were apart for many years and will now be reunited.
He is survived by his daughters, Sandra Wallace and Gina Ramirez; son, Paul Ramirez; Son-in-law Mike Wallace and grandson‘s Steven Uyeda, Tyler Wallace, Nick Wallace, Alex Ramirez, John Ramirez, and Gabriel Ramirez. He is also survived by his loving niece Jenny Chagoya.
Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services at Saint Mel’s church in Fair Oaks on Monday, March 3, at 10:30 AM. A burial service with Military Honors will follow at Mount Vernon Veterans Cemetery in Fair Oaks, California.
Rest in peace, Dad. May the Lord reunite you and Mom, and may your love continue to inspire your family and friends.
