Olivia Kathleen Anders

Olivia Kathleen Anders, age 83, of Rancho Cordova, California passed away at her home on Thursday November 21, 2019. Olivia was born February 13, 1936 in Lebanon, Missouri. She attended Lebanon High School and Webster College in Webster Grove, Missouri. After moving to Albuquerque, New Mexico, she enrolled at the University of New Mexico and graduated with a Bachelor's in Education with a Minor in Spanish and Social Studies in 1959. While living there she met her future husband, and 3 years later, married Richard Anders. They moved to Southern California shortly after the wedding, and then 2 years later relocated to Rancho Cordova where they raised their family. Olivia was active in the community beginning with volunteering in her children's classrooms. She also worked for Mervyn's from shortly after the store opened, until she retired. In retirement she enjoyed her pets, and was an avid gardener. She also became involved with the Incorporation of the City of Rancho Cordova, serving in many capacities. Olivia was involved for many years in the preparation of her church family's funeral luncheons.

Olivia is survived by Richard, her husband of 60 years; her children Mark (Carrie), Beth (Nick), David, and Paul (Janet); 10 Grandchildren; 11 Great Grandchildren; and 4 Great Great Grandchildren.

A funeral service for Olivia will be held Monday, December 2, 2019 beginning with a Viewing at 10:00 AM followed by a Service from 10:30 to 11:00 AM at Mount Vernon Memorial Park, 8201 Greenback Ln, Fair Oaks, CA 95628.
