Marvin was born October 8, 1947 in Muskegon, Michigan. Marvin met the love of his life, Andrea Martinez in 1967 and they just celebrated their 51st anniversary.
Marvin served in the Army from 1967 to 1969. He was in Vietnam with the 196th Light Infantry Brigade on the front lines of the Vietnam war.
Marvin was the founder and owner of a welding business for 45 years in both Corpus Christi, Tx and in Sacramento, Ca. He was a long time member of the Church of God and translator for the church services from English to Spanish for the non English speaking members.
He is survived by his spouse Andrea Martinez, as well his 5 children, Alma Sanchez, Martha Green, Marvin (Jay) Martinez Jr., Jerry Martinez, and Danny Martinez. He is additionally survived by his 16 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He had 6 surviving siblings; Celso, Fernando, Fredrick, Lala, Lavina, Marlin and 7 siblings preceded him in death.
Services will be held on October 5, 2018, viewing is from 1:00-3:00pm, funeral services will be from 3:00-4:00pm at:
