On Sunday June 6, 2021 surrounded by family, our beautiful mother Lisa Marie Smith, left this world and entered the kingdom of heaven. She joins her mother June, father Richard and her sisters Renee, Therese and Marie. Lisa began her journey on this earth on July 25, 1952 in Long Beach, CA. As she was the second oldest of 9 children, Lisa naturally took on the motherly role and helped her mother and father in caring for her younger siblings. Lisa is survived by her sisters Cherie and Denise and her brothers David, Lawrence and Jason. Lisa grew up in Santa Barbara, CA where she loved the beach, surfing and sunshine. Lisa became a mother at a young age and dedicated her life to her five children; Paul, Michael, Marie, Johnathan and Cameron. Through trials and tribulations of life, Lisa always put her children first. She made sure her children had everything they needed while sacrificing her own needs. Lisa was a very hard working, devoted and intelligent woman who held a career in management for many years.
Lisa loved caring for and spending time with all 9 of her grandchildren; Alexandra, Melanie, Aaron, Jessica, Gavin, Dylan, Hailee, Jacob, Ethan and her 2 great grandchildren; Brielle and Elijah. Just as Lisa dedicated her life to her children, she continued this dedication with her grandchildren. She never missed an opportunity to support her family; whether it be sporting events, school plays or taking her grandchildren to and from school, she could always be counted on no matter what . Lisa wore many hats throughout her life; faithful wife, loving mother, proud grandmother and great grandmother. She was the superwoman of mother’s and named “Mom the Bomb” by her grandchildren. Above all, Lisa was a woman of faith. She spent a lot of time reading the Bible and teaching her children and grandchildren the power of prayer. Lisa was a firm believer in trusting Gods plan. She brought a sense of calmness and faith into every room and conversation. Lisa is an angel of forgiveness that always reminded us to be kind to others, never lose faith and always forgive. Lisa’s kind heart and genuine love shined bright and has left a legacy that will never be forgotten. Lisa would never let anyone leave without giving hugs and kisses goodbye and a telephone conversation was never ended without an “I love you”. Lisa Marie has been called home and we know her love is shining upon us. We love you Mama and until we meet again “sweet dreams and see you in the morning“.
