Lisa (Hall) Isbell a 10 year resident of El Dorado Hills, CA, born October 12, 1973 in Fremont, CA, lost her battle with cancer on August 9, 2013. Lisa has worked in the medical field for many years and up until recently, caring for others was her goal and passion. Lisa was a fifth year teaching resident at U.C. Davis and worked in Ob/Gyn and as a Medical Examiner. September 1st was to be Lisa’s official hire date as a Ob/Gyn at U.C. Davis. The only child of Mark and Jacalyn Hall, she is also survived by her husband, Arthur Isbell, and daughters Marlena and Brandi Isbell.
Lisa was the wife & friend to Art and mother of two young daughters, Marlena now (14) and Brandi now (13). During medical school she survived two bouts of breast cancer never missing a day. Respected in her field, Lisa was asked if she would like to train with Discovery channel Dr. G: Medical Examiner. Off she went.
In her free time, Lisa enjoyed spending time with her family & dogs. She enjoyed Rap music, theme parks, reading and the beach. While she was a dedicated professional, she had a fun, playful side and often got the biggest kick out of acting completely silly with her daughters.
Services will be held at the Mount Vernon Memorial Park & Mortuary, 8201 Greenback Lane, Fair Oaks, CA 95628 on Sunday, August 18th at 12:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations made through Chase Bank payable to Art Isbell acct. #2989690967 for those wishing to help with expenses.
Lisa wrote this special note on February 24th 2013 for a fund raiser we had. “I just want you all to know that I truly am blessed and appreciate all the well wishes and prayers from everyone who knows me and from a lot of people who do not even know me. God Bless you all!!!!!”
