

Kathryn passed away peacefully on September 17, 2012 from breast cancer at the age of 87. She was born on January 23, 1925 to Homer and Monty Cole, in Rockmart, Georgia. Has been a long time resident of Carmichael, California.
Kathryn retired as Chief of the Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, Sacramento Air Logistics Center, McClellan AFB, here in Sacramento. She had over 40 years of civilian service and won numerous awards for her work.
She was also active in several national and international organizations including the National Association of Parliamentarians, Soroptimist International and International Training in Communication (ITC). Her service was her passion and her contributions to these organizations have been instrumental in the shaping of their mentoring, teaching and growth over the years.
Kathryn is predeceased by her loving husband Theodore L. Scheld. She is survived by her four children, Sherri Lawrence, Theodore Scheld II, Linda Morphis, and Nancy Andres. She is also blessed with and survived by 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at Mount Vernon Memorial Park on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at 12:00 pm with interment to follow immediately afterward. The casket will be open for visitation for one hour prior to the start of the service. Kay asked that in Lieu of flowers, contributions to the National Association of Parliamentarians would be appreciated.
