Born April 09, 1919 to Alexander and Elizabeth Hauff in Mason City, Iowa. Entered into eternal rest on April 20, 2012 at the age of 93. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was a resident of Carmichael for 66 years.
During World War II Katherine worked on Liberty Ships in the Portland Oregon Shipyards as a chipper, then went on to become a welder. She worked at Almond Growers in Sacramento for 19 years, retiring in 1973. Katherine was an avid bowler. For many years she liked to Polka Dance and participated in Polka Dancing at various locations all over California and Nevada. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Katherine has joined her beloved husband Alexander, who passed away in 1974. Loving mother of Joann Katherine Eversole and James Lee Becker. Katherine has eight Grandchildren, nineteen Great-Grandchildren and five Great Great Grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her two sisters and two brothers.
Friends are welcome to join the family in remembering Katherine's life; viewing is on Saturday, May 12th, between10:00 AM and 12:00 PM followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM. Mount Vernon Memorial Park and Mortuary 8201 Greenback Lane, Fair Oaks.
