Stretch, John (Jack) Alan of Fair Oaks, died on October 23, 2018 at the age of 87. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years Beverly A. Stretch, his parents Peter and Jean Stretch, brothers Geoffrey, Peter, and Terry Stretch. Survived by children Mary, John, Tom Stretch, Dawn (Jim) Marchese, Bill (Lisa) Stretch, Ann (Joel) Jaquess. Grandchildren Michael (Kristie) Marchese, Lauren (Eric) Wilkes, Nolan Williams, Justin Stretch, Josiah Jaquess, Robbie Davis. Great grandchildren Florence and Bowie Wilkes, Louie Marchese and Skooter. His “Baby Sister” Donna Chaney and sister-in-law Joan Waldron, along with many in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Jack served in the Navy during the Korean conflict and was honorably discharged from the Navy Reserves in 1963, a graduate of Chico State University with a Bachelors and Master’s Degree in Industrial Arts. He was a dedicated employee and retired from ARATEX Services in Sacramento. In retirement, he volunteered with Senior Gleaners and later cared for his wife. “Mr. Stretch Wrench,” Jack is remembered for his willingness to help friends and family in home repairs and construction projects. He, together with his wife, were known for their hospitality. A Celebration of Life will be held on November 13, 2018 at Randy Peters Event Center 105 Vernon Street Roseville, CA from 4 to 8:30 PM.
