James Henry Kurtz

76 years old passed away at home on Saturday, 20 October 2014.

Entered into life on 13 November 1937 in Lefor, North Dakota - entered into rest 18 October 2014 at his home in Orangevale, California.

Preceded in death by his parents, John Benard Kurtz and Anna A. ( Heidecker ) Kurtz. Brother John N. Kurtz.

Survived by brothers Leo, Charles ( Chuck ) and sisters Rose and Jane.

Jim's wife Mary Elizabeth- Saint Peter( Roth ) Kurtz is a resident at Eskaton Fair Oaks.

Sons James Patrick Kurtz, Step Sons Dave Saint Peter and Mark Saint Peter.

Jim Kurtz started his adult life at 16 enlisting in the United States Navy.

Upon leaving the Navy, Jim started his truck driving career with associated freight then Willig truck lines.

Retiring, he continues to drive part time for Penske Truck in West Sacramento.

Jim hogged all the talent genes in the Kurtz family playing both the Accordion and Keyboard. He played often at Eskaton Fair Oaks where his wife Mary Elizabeth resides.

Both Jim and Mary attended Mass at Saint Mels Catholic Church in Fair Oaks until ill health prevented them from doing so.

Services will be held at Mount Vernon Mortuary, 8201 Greenback Lane, Fair Oaks, California on Saturday 1 November 2014 at 10:00 AM
