Jack Moreno Perez of Roseville, California passed away at the age of 81 years old, Good Friday, April 7, 2023. He was born to Leon & Myrtle Perez on July 14, 1941 in Montgomery, Alabama. He is survived by his three Daughters, Tammy (Lee) Rafferty of Auburn, California, Angela (Ray) Espinosa of Sacramento, California, and Amanda (Tyler) Perez-Morris of Salt Lake City, Utah. Mr. Perez also leaves behind 6 Grandchildren: Stephanie (Tyler) May, Andrew, Sophia & Avery Espinosa, Hazel & Hadley Morris. 2 Great Grandchildren:
Ediza & Isla May. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon & Myrtle Perez, and wife of 54 years, Deanna Kaye Perez.
Mr. Perez graduated with his Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering from Texas A&M University. He also received his Master’s Degree. He began his career at McDonnell Douglas in Los Angeles County, California. He continued his Aerospace Engineering career at Aerojet Rocketdyne where he retired. He loved every minute of furthering the exploration of space.
Mr. Perez enjoyed attending and serving in the Baptist church. He was a generous giver to the church and other organizations. He taught Kindergarten Sunday School for over 20 years. All the children loved Mr. Jack. He loved to sing in the church choir too.
He provided selflessly for his family.
In his spare time he enjoyed collecting fun hats and t-shirts. He was the O. G. of Dad Jokes. His heart was most satisfied slalom water-skiing on a family boating day. He loved taking his family on vacation every Summer to Mount Hermon Family Camp and enjoying the sing-a-longs and s’mores together by the Victory Circle campfire. His ultimate thrill was a ride or maybe even two in a row on the Giant Dipper wooden rollercoaster at Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk.
Jack M. Perez was a sweet soul who loved people, loved life, and loved his Savior, Jesus Christ.
