Mom i loved you so much.  You were there to hug me and kiss me. Seeing you in that bed day after day was heartbreaking. You now can be at peace. I know you passed away to be with Shannel so she wouldn't be lonely. So soar with the angels. I love you

To My Dearest Irene, 

As I watched the slide show of your life and of your beautiful family tears gushed from my eyes and down my face... I cannot tell you how much love and joy you brought to my childhood.  We shared so many wonderful memories as an extended family.  It is with such deep sorrow to know that you've passed, but with great joy that you are now with your beloved husband Ken and my Grandma Pat and Grandpa Bob.  Thank you for being part of my life.

Grandma Sprague, or Oma, you were the greatest neighbor that we could ask for. I will always remember listening to your stories from when you were growing up, and you always could give us a great personal experience that would help in a school project. You were always there for my family. I will remember all the holidays and yard work weekends, and while I might not have enjoyed mowing your lawn, I did enjoy your cheesecake that I got a lot. The street just hasn't been the same without you and you are dearly missed.

Irene - I have nothing but fond memories of you.  Some of the best were the summers when you babysat me and we would spend the afternoon cooking, playing rummy cubes and writing letters to my pen pal in Germany.  You are finally reunited with Ken, my Ma and Pop.  I am sure you are having a great time now!  Much love! -Shawna

Irene..I always remember going into the store and asking you where's my Mom..and I will cherish the memories I have of all you Thrifty Drugs friends eating lunch together at Rieners German place in the Food Circus. You were one of my Mothers ( Ida Sunderman) favorite co-workers. we will truly miss you. My condolences to all of your family.

Oma, We have the best memories of you.  You were the best neighbor a family could have.  We were honored when you told us to not call you Mrs. Sprague anymore and to call you Oma.  You were our other Grandma.  Thank you for the memories and for always taking care of us even if it was something as simple as a hug and how is your day going? One of my favorite memories is when Megan and I would take you to the doctor and on the way home you asked if we could stop at Thrifty and I would say no because I knew why you wanted to go there and you would tell me it is important.  So we would go and you always got Megan and I a stuffed animal for taking you to your appointment. I love you so much and I  will always have you in my heart. Love you, Jaime

Ireen and I were hired by Thrifty Drug Store on the same day in 1963.  We worked together for 25yrs at the Arden Fair Store.  She retired the day I became a Thrifty Manager, in 1986.  We have many great memories with Jeri DeVeiga, Ida Sunderman & Jo Harder!  We will treasure those memories forever!

Irene's family,We are so sorry for the lost of Irene. We are friends of your mother from Thrifty Drugs. We  worked with her for many years. Know that our Prayers and Love are with you. We will meet again Irene.

Irene, we have such great memories with you, we treasure awesome neighbors! We'll miss holidays, daily chats, and doing yardwork(planting flowers would always bring a smile to your face) with you. Irene, I remember Debbie and I staying in your home for a weekend, and you telling me not to leave my makeup out because the Indian Chief (ghost)would take and hide it.  Not only was there a Chief, but a couple tribal buddies too. I loved your stories.  Adella

Irene,I would call you Hun when I was little, sneaking over to your house for seggi,(spagetti) because I couldn't say it or your name. I always looked as you as my 2nd Mom, as did all of us kids.  I would love to sit and talk and and hear your stories and laugh with you about about all my run-a-ways when you were Babysitting me. You would say Deb's why? Through out the years our families had a special bond, and I know that you are finally united with Ken, and Mom and Dad, and you are having one big party just like the ones you guys had when we were little. You will never be forgotten and will be in my heart forever. Rest Peacefully and pain free.

Irene, You and your family have been part of my life since my birth.  I will never forget the way you called me "Ricky" with your great accent.  Our families have been together almost as if we were related and we have been in touch throughout the years (not as much in the last few years as we should have been).  The one thing I do know is that you & Ken my mom (Pat) and dad (Bob) are all together having a great time and away from this terrible disease of Alzheimers.  I can see you all going to Foster Freeze for your chocolate dipped chocolate cones and then up to Tahoe.  You are in our hearts and will aways be.
