Helen Lewellen Campbell, 84 of Sacramento, California passed away on July 29, 2013. She was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on April 7, 1929. As a teenager she came to California where she lived with her Auntie Burley. She finished high school in Woodland California. Helen had various careers of the years. When she was younger she worked on the family farm in Oklahoma and also at the candy counter at Woolworths. In the mid-1950’s she starting working at the United States Post Office, She worked there until the early 1970’s. She also worked for the Secretary of State’s Office. In the late 1980’s she got a job in the accounting department at PSomas & Associates.
She married Robert Cook on April 25, 1947. Robert and Helen had two children, Warren and Debbie. Warren Cook was born in 1947. Warren has one daughter Gina McClain, two granddaughters, and two great grandchildren. Debbie Collin was born in 1951. She is married to Steve Collin. Together they have two sons, Daniel LaSage (Daniel is married to his beautiful wife Charity. They have five daughters and three sons), Phillip LaSage, and one daughter, Jeanine Mendes (Jeanine is married to her husband Nick, they have one son.) Robert and Helen separated in 1955.
Helen married Lloyd Campbell on May 17, 1960. Helen and Lloyd had one daughter, Darlene Osborne. Darlene was born in 1966. Darlene has one son Cody Osborne (Cody has four daughters).
Helen is predeceased by her husband Lloyd and her grandson Justin Cook.
Helen will be laid to rest next to her husband in the Garden of Hope at Mount Vernon Memorial Park.
Helen will be forever missed. We love you!
