We honor the memory of Pastor Glen Cole, Senior Pastor of Trinity Life Center and Pastor Emeritus of Capital Christian Center.
Pastor Glen D. Cole passed away Tuesday, February 14, at approximately 10am. Pastor Cole was a highly respected minister in the Sacramento area and had world-wide impact through his ministry.
Pastor Glen Cole was a husband of 58 years, a father, a grandfather, a great grandfather, and a lover of people! Please keep his wife Mary Ann, sons Randy and Rick, their wives, and their many grandchildren and great grandchildren in prayer.
Born in 1933 and originally from Tacoma, Washington, he later graduated from Central Bible Institute in 1955; he was ordained in 1959. He pastored at Evergreen Christian Center in Olympia, Washington, for 11 years before pastoring at Capital Christian Center from 1978 until 1995. Under his leadership at Capital Christian Center, he moved the church from Howe Avenue to its current location on a beautiful 63-acre campus, founded Capital Christian School, and grew the church to several thousand in weekly attendance. He then served the Assemblies of God as the Northern California Nevada District Superintendent from 1997 to 2004 and has also served as a General Council Executive Presbyter for many years. Glen retired for six weeks before returning to Capital Christian Center as Executive Pastor from 2004 to 2006. He then served as Senior Pastor of Trinity Life Center from 2008 until 2012.
He was a great friend, a pastor to pastors, and a father-in-the-Lord to many. Pastor Glen Cole will be remembered by his family, friends, and the congregations that were fortunate to hear his powerful and inspiring messages. He was oft-quoted with memorable statements: "What on earth are you doing for heaven's sake?" "You supply the willingness and He will supply the power!" and “Do you have the victory?”
Psalm 116:15 "Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of His saints."
