Evie’s life began being as a proud military wife to her husband Rob Blanton on April 12, 1945 at the age of 16. Their life in the military took them to different Air Force Bases throughout the States including Florida, Puerto Rico, North Dakota, and California. The family was in Puerto Rio with their young children on the base during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Rob’s position was Chief Master Sargent, Flight Line Chief of the B-52s and KC135s. Rob retired from the Air Force in 1966. Rob and Evie developed a bond with their military friends which Evie kept in contact with throughout the years. The family settled in Sacramento and lived a life well earned. Evie worked for the San Juan School District for about a dozen years. Her husband Rob, passed in 1989.
Evie moved into Pinebrook five years ago and was so happy in her final years living independently, surrounded by friends.
