Diana Lee Baker, 73, of San Jose passed away on August 14, 2022, surrounded by her family and friends. Diana, born on June 10, 1949, to Roland Jack and Marjorie Miller in Columbus, OH, immediately brought joy and laughter into the world. In the early 19060s her family made a move out West to Northern California. In 1967 she received her diploma, with honors from Lincoln High School. Diana went on to graduate from San Jose State University with a degree in Home Economics & Journalism. Diana fell in love with her alma mater San Jose State University, which kicked off a 24-year stint of employment as an Administrative Diva in the Social Sciences, Sociology, and finally the History Department. In 1966, she met the love of her life, John. There was an instant connection between the two and from that point on, they were inseparable. They were in love, a match made in heaven. They went on to have three children: Justin, Brian, and Kristina. Being a mother was one of the most important parts of Diana's life, a role that gave her much pride and joy. She was an excellent mom, supportive, kind, hilarious, and witty and we will all miss her dearly. The hole left by her absence is impossible to fill. She was one of the strongest women to ever walk this earth and our family was blessed to have her as the head of the family. Diana was predeceased by her husband, John Baker, parents Roland Jack and Marjorie Miller, and brothers Tom Miller, Gene Miller, and Danny Miller. She is survived by her children; Justin Baker, Brian Baker (Arlene), and Kristina Gordon. Grandchildren; Lily Gordon, Cooper Gordon, and Isaiah Baker. She is also survived by in-laws Sabine Miller, Ed Mendez, Mary Baker Robins, and Susan Patton. Loving nieces & nephews are Rolando Miller, Elizabeth Miller, Jessica Patton, Rachel Correia (Nick), Michael Robins and Jason Robins. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Diana's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
