Charles "Chuck" Louis Albin Sr. of Orangevale, CA was born in Gering, Nebraska on October 21, 1927 to parents Lester and Ada Albin. Relocating to Woodland, CA where he met the love of his life, Ramona Henne. Chuck was a devoted husband for over 67 years. He raised his family in Woodland and later resided in Orangevale the las 55 years. Chuck played trumpet in the big band era. He also enjoyed fishing and auto racing. Chuck built and raced in the early 1950's and continued to build race cars into the early 90's. Chuck was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Amy Albin Johnson. He is survived by his loving wife, Ramona and their children: Chuck Albin Jr (Sue), Pamela Davis (Barry), and Patricia Masters (Paul). Grandchildren, Derek Albin (Jodi), Rhiannon Severin (Robert), Brandon Owens, Samantha Wisberg (Travis); his sister, Carolyn Hubbard and 12 great grandchildren.
Chuck was a WWII Navy Veteran and served abroad on The USS Baltimore. He was a machinist by trade and worked for Aerojet and retired from Allied Maintenance.
A Celebration of Life will be held for family and friends at Cordova Lutheran Church at 10400 Coloma Road in Rancho Cordova, on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at 11am.
