Carol Lorene Steele

Carol Steele passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 15, 2023. Born in Omaha, Nebraska on July 22, 1942 to John and Jane Marley, Carol was 81 years old. She married her high school sweetheart, Bob Steele on July 1, 1960 and they celebrated 63 years of marriage. Carol was retired from the real estate industry. She enjoyed many years traveling, golfing, fly fishing trips and Vegas getaways. She was a beautiful person, always with a quick wit in her kind and loving way. Above all else, Carol treasured spending time with family and friends. Carol was an incredibly loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt who will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her. The vibrancy of a well-lived life never fades. A life lived with love is an inspiration to us all.

Beloved wife of Bob Steele, loving mother to Amy (Bill) Knipp and Craig Steele. Best Granny ever to her grandchildren Kate (Landon) Bravo, Ryan (Mikayla) McKone, Hailey Steele, Scott Steele, Tim Steele, Christopher Steele and Emmy Steele. Amazing Granny to her great grandchildren Sienna, Camille, Giada and London Bravo and Pierce Steele. She was preceded in death by her parents and her son Scott Steele.

The funeral services will be held at Mount Vernon Mortuary on Thursday August 24, 2023 at 11am.
