My husband had a really interesting life!  We met when he was a medical resident and I, a staff nurse at Jerry L. Pettis VA  Hospital in Loma Linda , CA in 1982.  We had a great life for 33 years  and have two children, Marissa, who has a Doctorate in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin and Stephen a degree in Economics and Accounting from UC Berkeley.  Our family traveled the world together...Too much to share here, but he was a fabulous husband, father and son.  Always in our hearts.  We miss you more than words can say.  I love you Bruce.

I miss you honey, I always will.  Losing you was beyond hard but you're looking down on us and see how well your family is doing...but boy do we miss Daddy.  Such great family memories!

Dr. Gorlick was a great friend and was the kind of person that would do anything for anyone who needed help.  There aren't too many people in this world like that.  He was a conscientious doctor who was kind and loved his patients.  My mother had a bunion repair and she got frightened at two o'clock in the morning, she called his answering service and he got right back to her, calmed her down and just talked with her for 20 minutes.  We need more doctors like him.

Tonight would be our 35th anniversary.  Bruce and I married September 30th, 1982 at 7:30 pm.  It was a perfect evening in Laguna Beach.  He looked so handsome that evening.  We got married by candlelight and we had ferns and gorgeous fuschias everywhere...stained glass and a twinkling gazebo that we took our wedding vow's in made it very romantic.  I will never forget that honey.  God Bless You, you are in a special place in my heart Bruce.  Love always, Cynthia

It's been many years since my visit with Dr. Gorlick to correct painful calluses on my feet. He wasn't hesitant to identify the treatment that would be successful in eliminating my condition.  For this reason I was researching his office location to assist me once again in medical treatment for a different issue.  I was saddened to learn of his passing a couple years ago.  I'm sure he is greatly missed in the medical community and also by his family.

It has been nearly 2 1/2 years since my husband and my children's father was taken from us and I would like to add to my original message.  I think of him every day and yes, he whispers to me...my husband was too protective of me and tried to keep me sheltered about people and things that I now know about.  I feel badly because I came across as too soft and he didn't want me to worry...I feel just awful.  I could have been there for him more.  Bruce,  you would be surprised at who I am today.  I hope proud.  I love you and miss you.  You were not a perfect man and I not a perfect woman but you loved me more than any other man in my entire life and gave me what made me free from the past. A good friend who will be missed. We were fishing buddies and he always took time to help me with my travel plans.

Bruce Gorlick was my deeply loved husband for 33 years.  The happiest years.  He was an outstanding man in every way, a partner, father, friend and doctor should be. We had 2 children who are college educated professionals now...because of their Dad's example and guidance. We traveled the world together and even our quiet times were full of love and wonderful conversation. Honest and loyal, He will be in a very special part of my heart forever.
