I just heard the news about my friend Ed a great brother.We met in the gym at MTSU  we  had great times words can't express how much we will miss him until we meet again RIP Smooth"

He was such a good man. We used to play basketball together in the late 80's & 90's. Later on in the years we would share with such excitment when ever we saw one another, happy to see one another. I'll continue to remember the family in my prayers. Sleep on "Smooth" we'll see you again!

I attend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. High School in Chicago. Edward set the standards for those who were members of the track team. He also played football. No matter how far you travel from home, you will always be a Jaguar.

Ed & I were classmates & friends at MTSU. It was a privilege to have known such a talented athlete & wonderful man. I'm saddened to hear of his passing. My thoughts & prayers are with the entire Thomas family during this time of sorrow.

Prayers goes out the the family of Ed Thomas.  Ed became a part of our family during his stay at MTSU.  He would come to my mother's in Tullahoma for family gatherings when he couldn't get home.  Easter, Thanksgiving he and the track team would load up in Thomas Keith's (TK's) car and come eat. Ed has always been the same and his smile will always be remembered. God always knows what is best for us and he never makes a mistake.  Trust in the Lord and he will see you through this time in your life.  Ed will be greatly missed by all of the lives he touch.  So much more could be said concern Ed "Smooth" but his life speaks for him.  Be blessed family. To the family of Ed Thomas, our hearts are sadden by the news of our friend death! We met Ed's acquaintance while attending MTSU 1978-1981. Ed and I were initially bonded by our love for track and field.  Ed was a true friend and always a positive force in the matters of life.  I'll miss my friend.  I'm thankful for his positive impact upon the lives of those he touched. Rest in peace my friend!!! Greg

No words can express or provide the true comfort for a broken heart when a loved one leaves this life suddenly. Ed will be truly missed by so many. May the family find peace through God in these things that we cannot understand.

I met Edward in 1980, and through all the good times, trials, and everything else that comes in life we remained close friends. He was a great listener and a shoulder to lean on anytime I needed him. I am pleased to know that our son carries so many of his personable traits and his legacy will live own through him. Gone too soon, but I will always remember my dear sweet friend Edward.

My prayers and sympathy through this rough time. He was an incredible friend who I greatly trusted and man who will greatly be missed. We seek comfort knowing we shall meet again one day God willing.
