Accepting Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age; she was baptized at Andrew Chapel Church.
Cloteel moved to Chicago in 1944, and worked as a skilled seamstress for many years in the Chicago Fashion Market. During the early 1960's, Cloteel along with her sisters opened their own business. However, it was the long work hours that led her to find employment within Chicago Public Schools as a Child Welfare Attendant until retirement.
Cloteel dearly loved her extended family. She organized multiple family reunions and attended all family gatherings.
Cloteel Brown, age 93 of Chicago,IL passed away peacefully on July 11, 2020.
Beloved mother of Donna (Bernard) Cross; Adored grandmother of Bryce and Taylor Cross. Loving sister of Bobbi Jean Rouser and Shirley (Russel) Williams; Cloteel was preceded in death by 13 of her siblings along with her wonderful parents, George and Mariah Buck. She will be missed dearly by her family and countless friends.
Memorial Visitation will be on Friday, 7/17, at Kenny Brothers Funeral Directors, 3600 W 95th, Evergreen Park, IL 60805. In consideration of the safety of our guests and associates, Kenny Brothers Funeral Directors will adhere to the current gathering restrictions in the state of Illinois, which allow 50 or fewer guests at services.
