Knowing and accepting Jesus Christ from a young age, Arthur's passions also included cooking and assisting his mom with baking of delicious desserts. Arthur decided once finishing elementary and secondary schooling to embark on a career as a chef at Washburne Trade School. Arthur's training provided experience to work in various markets of the hotel industry. Thus, meeting his soon to be wife Gloria of many years, the family relocated to Texas, to continue to work in the field of his choice.
As times changed, Arthur returned to his hometown to purse a new career in truck driving, working in various companies and shifts to earn the experience necessary to perfect his skill. During this segment of his career, Arthur unites with Yvonne in marriage, embarking on life of traveling and appreciates the many attributes of what God has to offer in his personal life. Arthur met many challenges; many that made him stronger and to realize what matters most in this walk that we endure.
Arthur went home to be with the Lord on October 9, 2018, leaving behind the void, but he will never be forgotten. He leaves behind a wife, Yvonne, daughters Marquita (Lawrence) of Sturtevant, Wis., Constance and a son, Anthony of Minneapolis, Minn.
His parents preceded him in death as well as his brother Reginald. He leaves to mourn a brother, Wendell, sisters Jacqueline, Brenda, Judy and Sherry. Uncles, Robert and Thomas Jones, aunts Marie Jones, and Cassie Crossley, and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins and friends.
