Zearl Oscar Wilson Jr., age 44, of Edmonds, Washington passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2023.
Zearl Oscar Wilson, Jr joined his Ancestors on Sunday, February 5th, 2023. He was born in Brewster, Washington on January 17, 1979 to Tracy Albert and Zearl Wilson, Sr. Zearl, a Colville tribal member, was a rare combination of contradictions.
On the outside he protected himself through his silence and restricted facial expressions, on the inside he pursued life with a child-like naivety. Highly intelligent but also innocently curious with an insatiable desire for more information. He was cautious with his heart, but once he loved you he did so wholeheartedly and completely.
Not a man of perfection, but he was constantly bettering himself. He graduated Brewster High School as valedictorian and he graduated with Honors from Edmonds Community College with an AA in Business while working full time as a Gaming Tables Manager at Angel’s of the Wind Casino. He also loved to travel, especially to Vietnam where he met his wife Thi Thu Thao Nguyen and her daughter Hoang Gia Linh Nguyen (Ruby). It was love at first sight and Zearl saw nothing but Thao. From then on Zearl began to seriously learn Vietnamese so that he could converse with his soon-to-be wife.
As he joins his son Anthony Kain Wilson in the stars, he is lovingly remembered by his other four children: Sierra Wilson-Turner, Robby Wilson-Turner, Michael Wilson-Turner from his first wife Shelly Wilson; as well as Ruby and his wife Thao. He is survived by his sisters Ashley Stanley and Andrea Stanley. He is survived by countless family and friends including those from his long career in the Casino industry where he found so many life-long friends.
