Sok Yinn was born in Prengveng Tral, Cambodia. She passed away on February 10th in her sleep peacefully with her family and friends praying by her bedside in Providence Medical Center in Everett, Washington.
Sok Yinn and family were sponsored by Roy and Dorothy Baker who had dedicated their lives sponsoring displaced war refugees to America. Our family was one of the last groups of families they supported and we are the survivors of Cambodia's killing fields through their United Methodist Church.
Yinn dedicated her life to her family. She enjoyed sewing, beading, knitting, gardening, and worshipping. She is an active member of the Cambodian Buddhist Society- Wat Sanghikaram in Mill Creek, WA.
She was preceded by her husband, Chak Hang; her parents: father Buo Sok and mother Ouch Port. She is survived by her sister Young Sok of Cambodia and her children Chon Hang, Yim Hang, Choeun Hang, Young Hang, Yonn Hang, and Aun Hang. She is also survived by her 25 Grandchildren and 42 Great-grandchildren and counting, along with 4 Great-Great- grandchildren.
Prior to the funeral service, a viewing will be held on Thursday, February 16th from 3-5pm. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on February 18th, 2017 at the Evergreen Funeral Home.
We would like to thank all of our family and friends who had visited her throughout the years. She cherished every selfless moment spent with her. Thank you also for your thoughts and prayers during our family’s time of grief.
