Born November 3, 1915 in Seattle, Washington but grew up in the Wenatchee Valley and Graduated from Wenatchee High School in 1934. He was a Navy Veteran of Both World War II and the Korean War, serving mostly on the U.S.S. Saratoga. William set up and started the Naval Recruiting Station in Roseburg, Oregon. He was a member of A.O.P.A., Flight Reserve Association and Veteran of Foreign Wars. He loved flying and fishing, often combining them to reach remote lakes and streams. William passed away on January 31, 2012 at the Naval Hospital in Bremerton, Washington. He is preceded in death by his parents William and Olive; Brothers Clinton, John and Tim and sisters Margaret and Virginia. He is survived by his beloved sons, William D., Jr. and Bryan, both of Washington; brother Fred Fowler (Justine) and granddaughter Laura A. Lewis (Bruce). He is also survived by numerous extended family and friends. Graveside services will be held at 11:00am, Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at Evergreen Cemetery, 4504 Broadway in Everett.
