Ruth Esther Ohlund, born July 6, 1919 in Seattle, WA, passed away on January 27, 2013 in Everett, WA. Ruth worked as a registered nurse in the Pediatric Department at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle after graduating from Seattle Pacific College. She touched many lives during her years of devoted faith and service to her church family. Ruth enjoyed knitting, braiding rugs, stamp collecting, watching birds, and spending time with her loving family and friends. Ruth and her husband Paul enjoyed traveling to many places, especially to Sweden to be with family and explore their heritage. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Ruth is survived by her children, Tim Ohlund (Annalena) of Sweden, Cathy Halstead (Al) of Lynnwood, Richard Ohlund (Nancy) of Seattle, and Kurt Ohlund of Everett, 8 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul L. Ohlund, and her sisters, Florence Kutrich and Helen Lundquist.
