

Russell Frank Divers, age 92, of Everett, Washington passed away on Friday, March 21, 2025.
Russell Divers was born November 19,1932 to Bernard and Jessie Divers. He was the youngest of two siblings.
Russ attended Washington Grade School, North Jr. High School, and graduated from Everett High School class of 1950½ then joining the Navy.
He met his bride Arlene at North Jr High School, they married on March 21, 1953. Russ and Arlene enjoyed 61½ years of marriage. They have two children, Debbie VanEsch and Del Divers and raised them in the family home in Everett where they lived for 64 years. He was "Grandpa Cookie" to his four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Russ spent much of his career working in the automotive profession, specializing in auto body repair and as a painter. His love was custom cars. Russ worked on such famous cars as "Madam Fifi" in the 1950's and more recently the 1963 "Ferrambo". Russ was inducted into the “Washington State Hot-Rod Hall of Fame” in 2010. Russ belonged to numerous car clubs, “Custom Northwest,” “Vintage Chevrolet Club of America,” and for years “ TNGA - Thursday Night Garage Association.” Russ was known as “The Rod Father”. He spent 19 years building his beloved, 1940 Nash Sedan called “My Turn”.
He was was preceded in death by his wife, Arlene in 2015; his older sister, Margaret Solem in 1981.
Celebration of Life will be on Sunday, May 4th at 1pm at Liljebeck Farms 9009 222nd ST SE, Woodinville WA 98077.
