Richard Raymond Gilbert, 97, of Marysville, WA passed away November 14, 2017. He was born to Raymond and Ruth Gilbert on October 21, 1920 in Everett, WA.
He was a World War II veteran leaving Everett with the National Guard, serving in the Army Air Corp (Air Force). After serving our country he graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Forestry Engineering.
Richard is survived by Alta, his wife of 75 years, his daughter Janice and son David; his sister Delores, sister-in-law Don Elda and brother-in-law Walter, 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren, a niece, 5 nephews and numerous cousins.
There will be a memorial service for him on December 1, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Evergreen Funeral Home, 4505 Broadway, Everett, WA.
