Peter Scott Hudson, 47, of Lake Stevens, passed away with dignity and peace after a prolonged battle with Huntington's Disease. He was the youngest of three children born to Carol and Leland (Duane) Hudson, in Everett, WA. He graduated from Snohomish High School in 1996 and began a 20 year career at Providence Hospital, where he served as a Patient Transporter, ER Tech, X-ray Tech, and Medical Imaging Supervisor. He completed his education at EvCC and Bellingham Tech.
Peter met his wife of 26 years shortly after high school. They both worked at the hospital. It was there that they began to form lifelong friendships. Known for hosting hang-outs, parties, and holidays, their home was a welcoming space for many. Peter heavily invested in his interests and hobbies, some of which included Seattle sports (Sounders, Seahawks, Mariners, Kraken), Pearl Jam, live concerts, Olde English Bulldogges, fishing, gardening, puzzles, video games (Diablo), modifying his Nissan X-Terra, and off-roading. He proudly called himself a true Fan-Boy, he bled Green (Sounders), and never spoke ill of any team players. Above all, Pete loved being around his people. His wife, his dogs, his family, his friends. His “framily.”
Throughout his life, Peter brought joy and fostered connections among many individuals. He will be remembered for his huge heart and effortlessly making everyone feel cherished, appreciated, and connected.
Even on his final day, he continued to unite people, ensuring that they felt loved, heard, accepted, known, and valued. Peter consistently demonstrated loyalty, trustworthiness, and unconditional love. His framily will deeply miss the light he brought into this world. Yet, regardless of where we are, pieces of him will forever remain in our hearts.
Peter was preceded in death by his father, Leland (2007), and mother, Carol (2012). Peter is survived by his wife, Jennifer Hudson (and her siblings); his brothers, Leland (Deanna) Hudson and their children, Ritzby and Lily; and Mark (Jean O’Grady) Hudson; his godchildren, Taryn Spencer-Wheeler and Greyson Wheeler; his giant tribe of framily; and his beloved dogs, Benny and June.
A celebration of life will be held at 11am on April 12th, 2025, at Machias Community Church. All are welcome. The dress code is Peter appropriate (be casual and consider Sounders Gear or the color Orange). Please bring your memories and stories to share. Additionally, we invite you to take part in a special exchange by bringing a hydrangea plant and/or a box of donuts. Our hope is to emulate what Peter did best: to connect people in meaningful and tangible ways.
