After a tour of duty in the Army, Dad was recruited by Boeing. Once here in Seattle he convinced his sister Darla & Gene to come to Seattle, Boeing was booming and all three were working there. While in Seattle he met his future wife, Wendy. When Dad met mom he said it was love at first sight. Not knowing there would be 4 addition “carry on” suit cases waiting at home. Little did Wendy know that it didn't matter....Dad was in love. They were married October 12, 1962 in Seattle, WA. During the Columbus Day storm. He took on the role of father to Wendy's 4 children. Two years later they had a daughter, Charlene. She was the apple of his eye.
After working for Boeing, John Fluke Corp , he went on to sell real estate, taught at a local college and even picked up painting, while still pursuing his dream of being a writer. He sold a few of his stories to Readers Digest and other magazines. He also worked for a time
at the local newspaper, The Enterprise in Lynnwood. Eventually he retired and joined older brother Gene in various endeavors.
After Rhonda’s passing on December 16, 2014, Dad moved to Marblemount to be with his daughter Charlene and her husband Jim and continued his writing. Dad was very philosophical and those whom were fortunate received their numerology & or Astrology readings. He was always willing to help improve your spiritual life by offering books to read as well as wisdom he had learned over the years.
Dad, I know that you are in a place surrounded by love. And that we will meet again. Until then those who are still in physical form will reflect on how wonderful you have been. Remember that we are a soul and continue to evolve and learn….
He will be missed my many.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Heart Assoc. As for personal growth, love one another and forgive. As dad would say “ho'oponopono” "I Am Sorry" " Please Forgive Me" " I Love You " "Thank You "
