Marvin Lee Taylor went home to be with the Lord July 12, 2011 after a battle with cancer. He was a loving father, sibling, and friend and will be greatly missed. Marvin was born July 24, 1935 to James and Elva Marie Taylor of Arlington, WA. He grew up there and graduated from Arlington High School in 1954. Upon graduation, he served with the United States Marine Corps from 1954-1957. Marvin was a heavy equipment operator with Mobile Crane & Sellen Construction and spent time working on the North Slope building the pipeline. He spent his retirement years at his home in Lake Havasu City, AZ. He loved fishing and riding motorcycles with close friends. Marvin was a founding member of the Lake Havasu chapter of The Minutemen. He loved his country. He is survived by his children: Rod Taylor (Cindy) of Redmond WA, Steven Taylor (Moira) of Huntsville AL, Tammy Taylor of Lahaina HI and Lisa Jarrell (Bill) of Covington WA. Marvin is also survived by his mother, Elva Marie Taylor; siblings Jim Taylor (Joy), Larry Taylor (Jewel), Marion Taylor (Patty), Janice Schumann (Bill) and Carol Bjorg (Gordon). Marvin also has 16 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A viewing will be July 23rd 2011 at Evergreen Funeral Home & Cemetery from 4-8pm. Graveside Funeral services will be held on July 24th 2011 at Cypress Lawn Memorial Park at 11am. An open house to celebrate Marvin’s life will be held following the funeral service at Arlington Heights Community Club from 1:30-4pm. Flowers can be sent to Evergreen Funeral Home & Cemetery.
