He was born January 14, 1929 in Emmett, Idaho to Harlan “Merle” and Mildred Reynolds. He married Donna Marie Gladish on Sept. 5, 1948 and lived with her 53 years until she passed away in 2002 . Marvin retired from Welco Lumber Co. after working as a millwright for many years. He owned and operated a portable saw mill from 1966 to 1977. He also worked for Boise Cascade in Elgin OR., Burkland Stud Lumber Co. and Downer Lumber Co. in Livingston, MT. He served in the Navy aboard the USS Estes during the end of WWII.
He is survived by his three children; Diana M. Hanna (Alan) of Spokane, WA. Ed Reynolds (Sue) of Stanwood, Dan Reynolds (Vickie) of Elgin, Oregon; his sister, Phyllis Douglas (Dale) of Harrisonburg, VA; 20 grandchildren and 28 ½ great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Donna in 2002, his granddaughter, Jamie Reynolds in 1996, his brother, Roy Reynolds and sister Carol Lee Cornett.
A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, October 23, 2010 at 2:00 PM at the Seven Lakes Baptist Church, 17007 East Lake Goodwin Road, Stanwood.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Seven Lakes Baptist.
