Lloyd was better known as “Baldy” to those that knew & loved him. He was born 1-8-1926 in Whitney, Nebraska to William & Mary Lingel. He passed away suddenly on Feb. 1, 2013.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his late wife Valetta; daughters Victoria Nagle; Colleen Tripp, as well as 7 of his 8 siblings. He is survived by his current wife of 12 years, Linda; his daughter Noreen (Mike) Wintch; granddaughters Trina (Ilya) Weber; Krista (Rico) Davis; great grandson Mason Davis; sister Francis Kreuger and numerous nieces & nephews. Lloyd also leaves behind 5 step children; numerous step grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Lloyd’s family moved out west in 1938 to settle in Marysville, where he was raised on a dairy farm. He served in the US Army and was very proud of his service in the Korean War. He remained an active member of the Korean Veterans Club. Lloyd worked for Black Ball Freight which later became McKlean’s Trucking until his retirement.
Lloyd was a man of integrity, his word was all you needed. He was admired and loved by all who knew him. He was a passionately devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. His smiles, laughter and teasing will be sadly missed by all of his extended family and friends. The lord has a special place in heaven for Lloyd, but here on earth, we are left with a hole in our hearts.
A memorial service will be held at Evergreen Funeral Home on Friday, Feb. 8, 2013 at 11:00 a.m.
