Linda Susan Chambless, 71, of Everett Washington, passed away November 4th, 2022, in the company of her children.
Linda was the oldest of 7 children, born in Cleveland, Ohio on February 22, 1951 to parents Nicklas and Virginia Kazimir. The family moved from Ohio to Arizona, to Ohio, back to Arizona before eventually landing in Oxnard, California, where Linda attended and graduated from Hueneme High School in 1969. She attended Oxnard Beauty School of cosmetology before enlisting in the United States Air Force in 1971, and proudly served her country until 1976, when her son Shawn was born. She and her husband Gary, added another child, Tammy, in 1979.
After divorcing in 1980, Linda worked several jobs, working very hard as a single mother supporting her 2 children until she found more permanent employment at Pacific Missile Test center in Point Mugu, CA. She later remarried and grew her family to include step daughters Dina and Gina, whom she raised and loved as her own. Linda retired from her civil service job after 25+ years in 2010 and soon after, moved to Everett to be closer to her daughter, Tammy and granddaughter, Sarina.
Linda enjoyed tennis, card playing, Yahtzee, professional ice skating shows, watching old movies, and was an avid bowler. But her real love and what she most enjoyed were family gatherings to celebrate birthdays, holidays, or just an impromptu barbecue. She loved and cared for her family deeply.
Linda was quiet and somewhat shy, but she still had many great friends at Cascadian Senior Living, spending afternoons calling Poker or Bingo and outings to the casino now and then. She loved her friends and caregivers (sisters April and Amanda) and talked warmly about them all, often.
Linda is survived by her children, Shawn Campbell, Tammy Khatibi (Mohammad), Gina Shivers, Dina Muckey; grandchildren Emily, Dustin, Sterling, Noah, Zachary, Ryan, Logan and Sarina; great grandchild Ellion; sisters Debra Sanchez (Roy) and Lisa Kane (Jesse); brothers Kenneth Kazimir and Scott Kazimir (Shelly) and several nieces and nephews.
Linda was predeceased by her parents and her brothers, John and Donald.
